Registrations Open for NDARC Annual Research Symposium

Registrations for the 2024 NDARC Annual Research Symposium are now open!

The NDARC Annual Symposium brings together experts from the research, policy, and health fields to share the latest findings in the alcohol and other drugs (AoD) sector, and related areas.

Keynote Speakers include Professor Jürgen Rehm from the University of Toronto and Professor Mathew Hickman from the University of Bristol.

About the guest keynote speakers:

Award-winning Professor Jürgen Rehm (Senior Scientist, CAMH; Professor, University of Toronto) will present at this year’s NDARC Symposium. His research focuses on strategies to reduce harm from alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs and the impact of socio-economic status and poverty on substance use.

Professor Matthew Hickman is the co-director of the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Behavioural Science and Evaluations, and amember and co-investigator of NIHR School of Public Health Research andDeCIPHER (UKCRC Public Health Centre of Excellence for the Development and Evaluation of Complex Interventions for Public Health Improvement). His research programme focuses on infectious disease control and the epidemiology and public health consequences of drug use – with active research grants on prevention of Hepatitis C Virus, drug related mortality, and alcohol related harms.
