Second edition of FundAssist out now - Revised 2024
NCETA are pleased to announce that a revised version of FundAssist is now available to assist non-government AOD organisations to prepare, plan, and write successful grant applications.
The FundAssist toolkit includes guidance, information, tips, references, resources, links and activities. It has been designed not only to help organisations respond to opportunities - but to build ongoing organisational capacity necessary for securing funds.
The resource was originally commissioned by the Network of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies (NADA) in 2013 on behalf of the AOD peak bodies and developed by NCETA. It has been updated in 2024 by NCETA with support from NADA.
New content includes:
- More integration of the benefits of engaging with peer workers, peer organisations, cultural groups/organisation and Aboriginal organisations throughout.
- ‘Community / client / consumer advisory group’, under ‘Local / community needs’
- ‘Indigenous corporation’ under ‘Organisational Compliance’
- ‘Communicate with Stakeholders’ and the power-interest grid under ‘Building Relationships’
- ‘And, but, therefore – a narrative to frame your proposal’ under ‘How to write well’
- Lay advice on using google, identifying relevant research and understanding evidence reviews under ‘How to identify a need’
- List of common online grant and funding databases under ‘Funding sources and resources’
