Northern Territory workforce development consultations

As part of its ongoing work with Northern Territory Primary Health Network (PHN), NCETA recently conducted a series of consultations with AOD policy makers, managers, supervisors and frontline workers in Darwin to:
- Identify current AOD workforce development initiatives in the Territory
- Determine the workforce development needs of the Northern Territory AOD workforce
- Hear first-hand the views and preferences of the AOD workforce about what works well in the Northern Territory.
People who participated in the consultations appreciated the opportuntity to identify their workforce development needs at a systemic, organisational and individual level and to share their experiences of successful workforce strategies and initiatives.
Participants also expressed their gratitude to the NT PHN and NCETA for the opportunity to meet with their colleagues from other organisations and to establish ongoing intra- and intersectoral networking relationships.
Other consultation sessions are planned for Alice Springs and Katherine.
