Dr Kirrilly Thompson from NCETA recently provided a training session on the ABC’s of Alcohol and Other Drugs with co-presenter Dr Katherine Senior, Addiction Medicine Specialist from Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia (DASSA) for staff who work at the Corrections facility in Northfield, South Australia.

This training provided staff with an understanding of the types of AOD in Australia, prevalence of use in SA, and the problems that may be associated with their use. The training also provided information on stigma, harm reduction, treatment, support & intervention.
