Alcohol and other drug (AOD) services in Australia currently meet less than half of the treatment demand. Even when individuals with AOD use problems access these services, the majority attend only one or two sessions.
NCETA’s research findings examining AOD use among younger people, older people and high-risk occupational groups were placed under the microscope at the recent Australian Public Health Conference 2019.
A webinar is now available on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander worker wellbeing and resources and strategies for dealing with stressful work-related issues.
NCETA conducted a workshop on identifying and responding to workers’ AOD use at the Australian Logistics Council (ALC) Supply Chain Safety Summit in Sydney in September.
