NCETA is conducting a literature review on behalf of the Network of Alcohol and Drug Agencies (NADA) to examine and evaluate information about the health and wellbeing of the alcohol and other drugs (AOD) workforce.

This cluster randomised controlled trial examines a sustainable approach to enhance uptake of evidence-based care for unhealthy alcohol use in primary health care services targeting Indigenous Australians. It utilises a collaborative approach to select and implement service-wide changes to optimise care. The effectiveness of the service-wide intervention will then be assessed by routinely downloaded data on implementation of screening and treatment, including pharmacotherapies. Any changes in consumption will be described.

This new project aims to examine the safety and efficacy of lisdexamfetamine in the treatment of adults with severe methamphetamine (MA) dependence. The study is the first controlled trial of maintenance lisdexamfetamine for the treatment of severe methamphetamine dependence, with major clinical and public health implications.

This project aims to develop a comprehensive set of treatment service specifications for alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment provided by non-government organisations (NGOs) in NSW. These treatment service specifications describe the principles and key elements of each of the types of treatment services provided by NGOs in NSW. The service specifications will be developed in consultation with the NGO drug and alcohol treatment service delivery sector, the NSW Ministry of Health and people who use treatment services.
