Juvenile justice summit

The National Drug Research Institute, in conjunction with the Curtin Law School, recently co-hosted the inaugural Juvenile Justice Summit.
The summit brought together WA’s leading Indigenous researchers, including NDRI’s Aboriginal Research Program Leader Dr Jocelyn Jones, and other government and community experts to discuss solutions to youth justice issues at the Banksia Hill Juvenile Detention Centre, and consider wider youth justice reform, focusing on best practice and alternative, culturally safe, models of health care and justice for youth detainees.
