It has been a busy two months for NDRI researchers in the media, with expert commentary provided on a wide variety of AOD topics.

For example, NAIP research informed an editorial in The Age newspaper and NDRI Melbourne researcher Michael Livingston spoke to ABC News and news.com.au about alcohol consumption trends ahead of Dry July, while proposed changes to drug laws and access to rehabilitation services in regional Australia also drew significant media attention.

NDRI believes the mainstream media is an important avenue for the findings from its AOD research to educate the community and inform policy around the prevention and reduction of alcohol- and drug-related harm.
