NCETA in collaboration with LeeJenn Health Consultants and South East Business Networks has recently completed this VicHealth funded project. The project involved a three year multi-site trial of an alcohol harm reduction intervention based on a workplace cultural model developed by Pidd & Roche (2008) and examined whether a comprehensive and tailored workplace intervention could reduce alcohol-related harm.

NCETA and its consortium partners (Australasian College for Emergency Medicine; Greater Green Triangle University Department of Rural Health; Harm Reduction Victoria; and South Australian Network of Drug and Alcohol Services) have been commissioned by the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services to develop and implement a standard online training resource for frontline workers who provide services and support to people who are using crystal methamphetamine.

A clinical trial of a novel smoking cessation pharmacotherapy; a study to identify risk factors for alcohol dependence in young people; and an evaluation of the cost benefits of treatment for chronic non-cancer pain and research in e-health treatments for mental health and drug and alcohol problems have been awarded more than $4.37 million in health and medical project research funding and fellowships for NDARC.
