New resource for educators: which in-school alcohol education programs work?

November 2014

The National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) has developed an information booklet for schools which consolidates findings of a systematic review about school-based alcohol education programs.

The booklet provides educators with readily accessible information about the programs which have been found to be effective in delaying and/or reducing alcohol use amongst students as well as building resilience. It also details programs which have been demonstrated to have little impact and/or negative effects.

This resource is part of a suite of materials NCETA is producing on alcohol education in schools. The brochure may be downloaded from NCETA's website
