NCETA in the Top End - APSAD 2022

November 2022

The NCETA team were thrilled to spend three hot and humid days in Australia’s beautiful Top End on the land of the Larrakia people for the 2022 APSAD Conference.

The team presented findings at the 2022 APSAD Conference on a range of topics from parental drinking motives and influences on alcohol supply to adolescents, alcohol and other drug related absenteeism, rural and remote workforce, and perceptions of zero-alcohol beverages and their use by adolescents. Abstracts from the 2022 conference can be found here.

Congratulations to Dr Jane Fischer, winner the Best Poster Award: Senior Researcher for her poster titled “Factors associated with retention of regional and remote Australian alcohol and other drug workers; an exploratory study”.
