Evaluation of AOD peak bodies’ capacity building activity

March 2018

As part of its ongoing collaboration with the peak AOD bodies across Australia, NCETA has been invited by VAADA and WANADA on behalf of the Peaks Capacity Building Network to assist them to develop a capacity building monitoring and evaluation framework.

The proposed framework will be used by the AOD peak bodies to:

  • Demonstrate national peak effectiveness
  • Promote consistency and validation in the measurement of agreed outcomes around capacity building
  • Contribute to individual peaks’ continuous quality improvement processes
  • Inform jurisdiction or national planning for future peak projects.

The Peaks Capacity Building Network comprises senior officers from each of the peak bodies and aims to share capacity building ideas and initiatives and opportunities to identify best practice and coordinate capacity building capacity.

In working with the Network, NCETA will assist with the development of core evaluation measures, facilitate a planning day with the peak AOD bodies, and support the development of the evaluation framework.
